It’s such a joy when couples I’ve worked with before come back for another chapter in their story. I had the honor of photographing Sarah and Evan’s engagement session a while back, and now they reached out for maternity photos. It’s so sweet to be invited to capture these different seasons of life with them.

We had a beautiful, overcast day at Brookside, Maryland, which gave the soft, dreamy light perfect for maternity portraits. Even better, his family was visiting and joined us on our little adventure, adding so much warmth and connection to the session.

One of my favorite moments was seeing her sister-in-law help adjust her dress so it fit just right which was such a sweet, supportive gesture that made the day feel even more special. The “nest-looking” spot in the garden was an absolute dream, with flowers framing her perfectly and giving that classic maternity look.

Sarah was such a champ walking around the garden with her swollen feet, truly a labor of love for these memories. Every smile, every gentle touch, every shared laugh was a reminder of the beauty in this season of anticipation and joy.

Capturing their new family in this stage of life was such a gift, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings for them!
